My Journey: Bridging Continents, Empowering Lives
For over a decade, I called the US my home, dedicating myself to collaborating with non-profit organizations that support diverse communities—from unemployed, stay-at-home women to underrepresented groups, individuals with disabilities, and immigrants. I immersed myself in a mission of empowerment.
Having traveled across more than 30 states, I often felt like an American at heart. Later, during a five-year journey in Europe, I continued this mission by working with immigrant women across three different countries. Eventually, I returned to my birthplace, armed with international experience and a clear vision.
Drawing on my diverse background, I founded a non-profit organization aimed at providing meaningful employment opportunities for disadvantaged women and individuals with disabilities. My dream is to offer jobs that eliminate the need for daily commutes while ensuring a decent income. I launched my Etsy shop, JoyfulAndDreamy, in 2023 with the hope that its growth would allow me to employ two or three disadvantaged female collaborators or individuals with disabilities and further expand our impact. A significant portion of every purchase was dedicated to supporting this non-profit initiative. Now, thanks to the love and support from customers around the world over the past two years, I am excited to introduce my own website—Connie Corners—where I can offer an even wider range of items. These cherished creations are elegantly displayed across various ‘corners’ or ‘categories’ of the website and are crafted not only by me but also by fellow artisans, many of whom come from farming backgrounds, disadvantaged communities, and ethnic minority groups.

Inspired by the principles of Waldorf and Montessori education, I am overjoyed to channel my lifelong passion for crafting. Raised by a mother and grandmother who made their living as sewing artisans, I naturally learned the art of sewing without formal guidance. Beginning with my handsewn baby crown shop on Etsy, I revived and celebrated a cherished family tradition that I once feared was lost.
Each creation is more than just an accessory; it is a keepsake that captures precious moments for both children and their parents. It is a tangible piece of love and artistry, ready to become part of your family’s legacy.
